Hello Delegates,

My name is Neil Sebti and I am a senior at Casablanca American School. I have attended MUN conferences for the past three years however, this is my first time chairing a committee. My role is to ensure that the delegates entertain productive debate and come up with a strong resolution. I look forward to this year's conference and hope that the ECOSOC committee will be enjoyable and provide a positive experience overall.

My name is Mariam El Mansouri, and I am a senior in the American School of Marrakech. I join Model UN in the ninth grade, and have since fallen in love with debate and world politics. Over the past four year, I attended 6 Model UN conferences, in Morocco and abroad, as a delegate and an ambassador. This is my third Maroc MUN conference, and I will be one of the chairs for the ECOSOC committee. The Economic and Social council handles on the economic, social, and environmental implications of world issues, or, in other words, how issues affect societies on a micro and macro-level. In accordance with this year’s theme, the discussion in ECOSOC this year will center around the economic and social fallout of climate change. Prepare for a stimulating and enthusiastic debate tackling the heart of today’s world.
